Terms of Use and Guidelines

Purpose The Doctor of Osteopathic Resource Assistant (DORA) is provided as an informational support tool to help users efficiently access and understand trusted osteopathic resources. It is intended to supplement—not replace—professional expertise. 

No Medical or Professional Advice DORA’s responses are generated by an artificial intelligence system and are for informational purposes only. They do not constitute medical advice, clinical guidance, legal advice, or professional recommendations. Users remain fully responsible for how information is interpreted and used. 

Accuracy and Limitations While DORA is designed to provide helpful and accurate information: 

  • Responses may be incomplete, simplified, or occasionally incorrect 

  • Information may not reflect the most recent updates or interpretations 

  • No guarantees are made regarding accuracy, completeness, or applicability 

Users should verify important information through official osteopathic sources or qualified professionals. 

Acceptable Use By using DORA, you agree to: 

  • Use the tool in a lawful, ethical, and respectful manner 

  • Avoid entering personal, patient, or confidential information 

  • Not rely on DORA as the sole basis for clinical or professional decisions 

Misuse of the tool may result in limited or revoked access. 

Data Use and Improvement  Interactions with DORA may be logged and analyzed to: 

  • Improve response quality and relevance 

  • Monitor performance and system integrity 

  • Support responsible and appropriate use 

All data handling follows applicable privacy and security standards. 

No Liability AOIA and collaborating organizations that provide resources to the knowledge base are not responsible for: 

  • Decisions made based on DORA’s responses 

  • Errors, omissions, or system unavailability 

  • Any losses or damages resulting from use of the tool 

Use of DORA is at the user’s discretion and risk. AI-generated responses may be probabilistic and not error-free. AOIA will make reasonable efforts to ensure accuracy but does not guarantee the completeness or correctness of generated outputs.   

Changes to These Terms These Terms of Use may be updated as DORA evolves. Continued use of the tool indicates acceptance of the current version. 

 

 

Doctor of Osteopathic Resource Assistant Terms of Use

  1. Respect Everyone: Always be respectful in your posts and responses. No personal attacks, hate speech, or inflammatory language. 

  2. Stay On-Topic: Keep discussions focused on the forum’s purpose. Off-topic posts that are not substantive in nature will be removed. 

  3. Be Constructive: Contributions should add value to the conversation. Whether it’s a question, opinion, or answer, strive for clarity and relevance. 

  4. No Spam or Self-Promotion: Posts with unsolicited promotions, advertisements, or irrelevant links will be removed. 

  5. Privacy First: Do not share anyone’s personal data, including your own, without explicit consent. 

  6. No Harassment: Any form of harassment, including bullying, name-calling, or inflammatory comments, will result in immediate action. 

  7. Follow the Law: Posts containing illegal content, including pirated material or explicit content, will be deleted. 

  8. Moderation Process: All posts are subject to review before being published. If your post is flagged or removed, we will notify you with an explanation. 

  9. Report Violations: If you see something inappropriate, use the “Report” button. Help us keep the forum safe and respectful. 

  10. Removals: If you feel a post was unfairly removed, contact emergingdo@osteopathic.org.  

  11. Opinions: The views and opinions expressed in discussion posts are those of the individual authors and do not necessarily reflect the views or positions of the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the American Osteopathic Information Association (AOIA).
