We’re excited to announce our upcoming webinar in collaboration with the American College of Lifestyle Medicine (ACLM), "Mind, Muscle, Medicine: A Unified Approach to Exercise as Therapy".

Learning Objectives:

  • Define and explore the four osteopathic principles (listed below) and how they apply to exercise as medicine. (The Body is a unit, the body has an inherent ability to heal itself, structure and function are reciprocally integrated, Osteopathic practitioners use OMT to improve body structure and function to promote self-healing)

  • Demonstrate how Osteopathic Manipulative treatment can be a conduit to integrate the pillars of Lifestyle medicine, specifically exercise, with patients on a daily basis.

  • Describe evidence-based principles of behavior change and habit formation that can be used to support sustainable exercise adoption in clinical populations.

  • Demonstrate strategies for integrating personalized exercise coaching and prescriptions into routine clinical encounters across the continuum of medical education—from medical students to resident and attending physicians.
